Description

Enjoy the second deepest canyon in the world. With this full day tour you will be able to appreciate all the main points of view of the Colca Canyon from the hand of excellent bilingual guides with extensive experience in the canyon, you will also have the opportunity to appreciate the famous and majestic Condor birds in their natural habitat. During this tour you will be able to see the pre-Inca terraces along the valley and take pictures with llamas and alpacas. You will also have the option of enjoying the natural hot springs in a nearby village.

Itinerary

02:30 am to 03:00 amWe pick up the passengers from the different hotels, to start the trip through Yura, the trip will be made directly to the cross of the condor (approx. 5 hours), stopping only for breakfast.

08:30 am(Approximately) We will arrive at the Cruz del Condor from where we will be able to appreciate one of the deepest canyons in the world and where the sanctuary of the condor is located. On the way back we will stop at the towns of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque which have beautiful colonial churches; as well as at the Antahuilque and Chocotico viewpoints from where we can observe the pre-Inca tombs and models and the beautiful landscape of the Colca with its impressive terracing.

11:30 am(Approximately) Once in Chivay we will go to the thermal baths.

12:30 pm(Approximately) Lunch in Chivay and return to Arequipa.

1:30 pmOn the way back we will stop at the volcanoes' viewpoint (highest point 4,910m), in the tocra swamps where we can see a diversity of wild birds, alpaca and llama herds; in Cañahuas pampas we will observe herds of vicuñas (part of the Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve) the beautiful South American camelid that has one of the finest fibers in the world.

17:00 pm (Approximately). Arrival in Arequipa.
