In this pleasant horseback riding package through the beautiful landscapes of the town of Maras in the Sacred Valley of the Incas of Cusco Peru you will have the opportunity to ride your own Peruvian Paso horse and visit the archaeological site of Moray together with your expert guide who will explain about the history and tradition of this beautiful place, the Maras Moray area is considered one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, especially the beautiful views of the snow-capped mountains of this beautiful valley and this excursion on the Peruvian Paso horse becomes a very special and exciting excursion.

Itinerary

This pleasant tour of the Peruvian Paso on horseback begins with the meeting of the passengers in their hotels in Cusco or the Sacred Valley and then we will star in the first visit to the Inca weaving center in Chinchero. After this pleasant tour we will go to Maras Town where the staff will be waiting for you with the nice Peruvian Paso Horses.

After a brief orientation, we began our journey on the Peruvian paso horse to the circular terraces of Moray, where the Incas used it as a laboratory to acclimatize the seed and do research in agriculture. What is amazing is the average annual temperature difference between the top and bottom of the terraces up to about 15°C in the main depression, after Moray we will ride back in the nice Peruvian Paso horses that go back to the starting point of the tour, then we get in the car and our next stop will be the famous Salineras or salt mines of Maras, to see and learn about an ancient pre-Inca method of salt production, the Salineras, which are made up of approximately 4000 small pools on the side of the mountain, where the pools are filled with salt water that flows from the mountain during the dry season, irrigation must be done every 3 days, so that when the water evaporates, the salt it contains slowly solidifies, to obtain a production of salt every 30 days, at the end of the tour we will return in our transport to the center of Cusco.
