Discover the canyon in 2 exciting days. Cross one of the deepest canyons in the world, the Colca Canyon, with a 2 day 1 night trek by a professional guide, where we will spend the night in rustic cabins located in the heart of the Canyon.
Arequipa/ Chivay/ Cruz del Condor/Pampa San Miguel/ San Juan de Chuccho
03:00am to 03:30am Pick up from the hotel to transfer to the Colca Valley, the trip will take us approximately 4 hours until our first stop in the main town "Chivay", where we will stop for breakfast. Then we will continue the trip to the cross of the condor (1 hour approximately), where we will stop to appreciate one of the best views of the Colca Canyon and the opportunity to be impressed with the flight of the mythical bird of the Incas, the condor. We will continue to Pampa San Miguel (we will arrive at 9:30 am approx.) from where we will begin the descent to the Colca Canyon, which will take us approximately 3 hours, during the tour we will appreciate, as we descend the diverse vegetation between Andean and tropical, and also the geological formation of the Colca Canyon, part of the formation of the Andean Cordillera.
Once at the bottom of the canyon we will arrive at San Juan de Chuccho, where we will stop for lunch. We will continue our journey to Sangalle (Oasis), a beautiful place located between the mountains of the canyon and where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the pools of the place.
05:00 pm. We will arrive at the Sangalle Oasis where we will be able to enjoy its swimming pool.
We will have dinner and spend the night in bungalows / cabins (basic).
Sangalle/Cabanaconde/Chivay/Arequipa
04:00am We will begin the ascent (1300m), it is a zigzagging and quite steep road, but after approximately 3 hours we will have the satisfaction of finishing this beautiful journey.
08:30 am. We will arrive to Cabanaconde where we will have breakfast in a local restaurant, then we will take our transportation and return to Chivay, we will make a stop in Yanque.
Optionally, you can enjoy the relaxing hot springs.
Arrival in Chivay, lunch and drive to Arequipa, on the way we will stop at the Mirador de Volcanes and the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve to observe South American camelids.
05:00 pm. approx. Arrival in Arequipa.
