Colca Canyon Trek | 3 Days - 2 Nights

Arequipa / Cabanaconde / San Juan de Chuccho

03:00 am Pick up from the hotel to transfer us to the Colca Valley, the trip will take us approximately 4 hours to Chivay (main town of the Valley) where we will make a stop for breakfast and then continue the journey to the Cruz del Condor, to appreciate the Canyon and the famous flight of the condor, Then we go to the viewpoint of San Miguel from where we will start our walk, descending to the Colca Canyon, which will take us about 4 hours, during the tour we will appreciate, as we descend the diverse vegetation between Andean and tropical, and also the geological formation of the Colca Canyon, part of the formation of the Andean Cordillera. We will arrive to San Juan de Chuccho where we will have lunch and free afternoon. In the evening dinner and overnight.

San Juan / Sangalle (Oasis)

We will have breakfast and then start our tour again, for approximately 3 hours we will pass through the villages of Cosñirhua and Malata until we reach the oasis of Sangalle where you can enjoy its natural pools (24 °), we will have time to walk around until lunchtime, and at night we will enjoy a bonfire and dinner. We will spend the second night in bungalows.

Oasis / Cabanaconde /Chivay / Arequipa

05:00 am We will begin the ascent, it is a zigzagging road and quite steep, but after approximately 4 hours we will have the satisfaction of finishing this beautiful journey. If you are very tired, you have the option to make the climb on a mule.

We will have breakfast in Cabanaconde and then take the bus to Chivay, we will stop at the viewpoint of Huayrapunku, Antahuilque and the village of Maca. Afterwards, we will go to Yanque to visit the thermal baths.

Lunch in Chivay and return to Arequipa, arriving between 17 and 17:30 hours.
