DAY 01
ARRIVAL IN LIMA
Upon your arrival at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, a representative from our agency will greet you and hand you your voucher with the full itinerary, and will give you a brief overview of the experience you are about to begin. We will then transfer you to your selected hotel.
DAY 02
LIMA CITY TOUR + BUS FROM LIMA TO PARACAS
After breakfast at your lodging, we’ll begin a guided tour of the most attractive and important sites in Lima, “The City of Kings.”
Our tour will take you through Lima’s three historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial, and modern. First, we’ll show you a panoramic view of the Pucllana Pyramid; then we’ll visit Lima’s impressive historic center, where you’ll see more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings; and we’ll conclude with a visit to the residential district of San Isidro for an unforgettable experience. Afterward, we’ll take you to the Lima bus terminal, where you’ll board the bus to Paracas. There, a representative will be waiting to take you to your selected accommodations.
DAY 03
PARACAS: BALLESTAS ISLANDS + BUS FROM PARACAS TO NAZCA
After breakfast, we’ll take you to the pier where you can board the boat for the excursion to the Ballestas Islands. On the way, we’ll make our first stop at “El Candelabro,” a giant figure etched into the sand on a hillside in the style of the Nazca Lines. We’ll continue our tour to the islands, where you’ll see sea lions, pelicans, Humboldt penguins, and hundreds of boobies.
In the afternoon, we’ll travel by bus to the city of Nasca to spend the night.
DAY 04
FLIGHT OVER THE NAZCA LINES + BUS FROM NAZCA TO AREQUIPA:
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we’ll pick you up at your lodging and take you to the Nasca airfield, where you’ll take a 35-minute flight over the enigmatic Nazca Lines. Discover monkeys, spiders, and hummingbirds, among other large figures, which you’ll see from the sky as you fly.
In the evening, travel to the city of Arequipa (about 10 hours).
DAY 05
AREQUIPA CITY TOUR AND SANTA CATALINA MONASTERY
Arrival in Arequipa and transfer to your selected hotel.
In the afternoon, take a tour of Arequipa, which includes the Santa Catalina Monastery, the Plaza de Armas—one of the most beautiful squares in Peru—and the Cathedral, an excellent example of 19th-century Peruvian architecture that houses beautiful gold and silver treasures. You’ll also visit the Church of La Compañía and the old Jesuit temple. Afterward, you’ll visit the Santa Catalina Monastery.
DAY 06
AREQUIPA – COLCA CANYON – CHIVAY
We begin our tour by picking up passengers from their respective accommodations and then heading to the town of Chivay (approximately 4 hours), passing through Pampa Cañahuas and observing vicuñas, llamas, alpacas, and migratory birds. Our first stop will be in Patahuasi, where we’ll enjoy a cup of coca tea to help our bodies acclimate to the altitude. We’ll then continue the tour, taking in the small lakes and wetlands of Toqcra while spotting migratory birds such as flamingos, ibises, and others. We’ll then arrive at the highest point of the route, Patapampa (4,910 meters above sea level), also known as the “Volcano Viewpoint,” since from there you can see the volcanic range—especially Hualcahualca, Sabancalla, and Ampato. we’ll then descend to the town of Chivay, where we’ll have plenty of time to enjoy a delicious lunch before heading to our respective accommodations. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the hot springs (15 minutes from Chivay), whose medicinal waters range from 38°C to 40°C, where we’ll spend about an hour. In the evening, we’ll enjoy dinner accompanied by a folkloric performance, where we’ll have the opportunity to participate in these beautiful traditional dances of the Colca Valley.
DAY 07
COLCA CANYON – CRUZ CONDOR / BUS TO PUNO
Very early in the morning, we’ll have breakfast at our hotels and then head to the Cruz del Cóndor, where we’ll stay for about 40 minutes. From there, we’ll be able to admire the Colca Canyon and watch the condor (the largest bird in the Andes) in flight,then we’ll return, making stops at various lookout points such as Wayrapunko—where we’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the Colca Valley—Choquetico, an area where we can see a rock carving depicting agricultural terraces and hanging tombs of Collagua origin, and the magical Antahuilque Lagoon, which changes colors due to the presence of minerals. Along the way, we’ll observe various activities carried out by the local residents, Maca and Yanque are our next destinations, both featuring beautiful colonial churches and a unique charm. In Maca, you’ll have the opportunity to try the famous Colca Sour, the Colca Valley’s signature drink; upon arriving in Chivay, we’ll head to a restaurant where we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, we’ll depart from Chivay (Colca Canyon) for Puno. The bus leaves at 1:30 p.m. and arrives at approximately 7:00 p.m. Overnight stay at the selected hotel.
DAY 08
LAKE PUNO TITICACA, THE UROS FLOATING ISLANDS, AND TAQUILE ISLAND
Early in the morning, we’ll enjoy an unforgettable boat tour on Lake Titicaca to the unique “floating islands” of the Uros. We’ll continue our boat trip to Taquile Island. After lunch at a local inn on Taquile, we’ll stroll through the hills and archaeological sites of this 6-km-long island. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Puno to spend the night at the hotel. Free evening.
DAY 09
THE ROUTE OF THE SUN / BUS FROM PUNO TO CUSCO
Breakfast. Early departure by bus to the city of Cusco. We’ll travel through the Collao Plateau, stopping in the town of Ayaviri—an important center for livestock and textiles—to visit the impressive Kalasasaya Temple, the remains of the ancient Pucara culture. Along the way, we’ll stop in Raqchi, where we’ll see a spectacular Inca sanctuary built by the Inca Pachacutec and dedicated to the great Inca god Wiracocha. It features a large central wall with a stone base showcasing fine Inca architecture. Other walls are made of giant adobe bricks. The structure also has two circular side columns. Surrounding the temple are several buildings that were once used for housing and storage. About 70 km further on, we pass by the La Raya ranch, where we can see herds of vicuñas and llamas. During the trip, we pass by the beautiful Lake Wacarpay.
We head to the beautiful town of Andahuaylillas and visit the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, better known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas” due to its polychrome ceiling decorations.
Buffet lunch at a quiet country restaurant, where we can enjoy the region’s delicious cuisine. Upon arrival in Cusco, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Dinner on your own.
DAY 10
CUSCO CITY TOUR AND NEARBY RUINS (KENKO-PUCA-PUCARA, TAMBOMACHAY, SACSAYHUAMAN
In the afternoon, we’ll tour the city of Cusco, visiting the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, and the Temple of the Sun (Korikancha). Then, we’ll leave the city to visit the Inca sites of Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, and the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Strategically built on a hill overlooking Cusco, it is famous for its enormous carved stones joined with astonishing precision to form the outer walls. Some of these stones are over 9 m / 30 feet tall and weigh more than 350 metric tons.

DAY 11:
CUSCO AND THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
Excursion to the “Sacred Valley of the Incas,” a series of picturesque villages, agricultural terraces, and archaeological sites. The traditional indigenous market in Pisac. In the afternoon, we’ll pass through the towns of Calca and Urubamba to reach the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo. On our way back to Cusco, we’ll visit the picturesque Andean town of Chinchero, home to the ruins of what was once the royal estate of Tupac Inca Yupanqui. We’ll admire its well-preserved Inca Wall in the Plaza de Armas and visit the beautiful colonial church built on Inca foundations, featuring interesting frescoes in the portico. We’ll return to Cusco in the afternoon.
DAY 12:
MACHU PICCHU, THE LOST CITY OF THE INCAS—OVERNIGHT STAY IN AGUAS CALIENTES
The day begins with an early morning departure to the Cusco train station for an approximately three-hour train ride to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as “The Lost City of the Incas.” Upon arrival at the Aguas Calientes station, we’ll take a 30-minute bus ride up a winding 6-km road to the incredible Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, we’ll take a guided tour of the citadel. After the tour, you’ll have time to explore the archaeological site on your own.
Lunch is at the passenger’s own expense in the town of Aguas Calientes.

DAY 13:
MACHU PICCHU: AGUAS CALIENTES – CUSCO
This is an excellent opportunity to get up early and enjoy a beautiful sunrise, as well as take a stroll through the town of Aguas Calientes and visit its hot springs. Afterward, you’ll have time to do some of the following activities (not included in the overall price):
1. Visit the Machu Picchu Citadel for a second time.
2. For active or more adventurous travelers, we suggest hiking up Huayna Picchu (weather permitting), from where you can appreciate the vastness of Machu Picchu—an even more breathtaking sight from this height and distance. Reaching the summit takes approximately two and a half hours, and it’s recommended to start before 1:00 p.m. You must register at the checkpoint at the start of the trail. An exciting adventure for travelers who want to see, from the summit, the natural landscape and the carved stone that emerge from the ground like a geological miracle.
In the afternoon, return to Cusco by train and transfer to your selected hotel for the night.

DAY 14:
SEVEN-COLOR MOUNTAIN
Very early in the morning, we’ll pick you up at the hotel in our tour bus, and we’ll take an approximately 2-hour drive to Cusipata-Paucarpata. We’ll have a light breakfast before continuing on for about 40 minutes to the checkpoint, where we’ll see the snow-capped Wiñay Ritty peak (meaning “forever young”). We’ll hike through beautiful scenery for 1 hour and 20 minutes until we reach the Mountain of Colors at 5,020 meters above sea level. We’ll enjoy a panoramic view of the Mountain of Seven Colors, where you’ll have plenty of time to rest and take photos. Afterward, we’ll hike back to Llaqto, where our vehicle will be waiting, and we’ll have lunch. At approximately 6:00 p.m., we’ll arrive in Cusco, near the main square. The evening is free for you to rest.
DAY 15:
HUMANTAY LAKE OR A FREE DAY TO REST
If you want to continue the adventure, breathe 100% pure air, connect with nature, take in truly spectacular scenery, and hike along narrow, ancient trails, you should make the most of this last day in Cusco to visit Lake Humantay.
We’ll leave very early in the morning for the town of Mollepata, where we’ll have breakfast before continuing our journey. We’ll then continue our trek, passing through beautiful scenery until we reach Soraypampa, where we’ll take a short break. We’ll begin our hike to Lake Humantay, which sits at an elevation of 4,250 meters above sea level. The ascent takes about an hour and a half. Once we reach Lake Humantay, we’ll have plenty of time to appreciate this majestic natural wonder, and we’ll also witness a ritual offering to the sacred Apus—an activity in which we can participate. Afterward, we’ll descend to Soraypampa to catch our bus to the town of Mollepata, where we’ll enjoy lunch. Then we’ll continue our return trip to the imperial city of Cusco. We’ll arrive around 5:30 p.m.
Alternatively, you can rest today and/or take the opportunity to go for a leisurely walk through Cusco’s historic center and do some shopping.
DAY 16:
FLIGHT FROM CUSCO TO LIMA / BUS FROM LIMA TO HUARAZ
After breakfast, we will take you to the airport to board your flight to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, you will be transferred to the bus station for an overnight trip to Huaraz.
DAY 17
HUARAZ – FREE DAY
Meet and greet upon arrival in Huaraz and transfer to your lodging to drop off your luggage.
Free day to acclimate and rest.
DAY 18
LAGUNA 69
Laguna 69 is located at the foot of the snow-capped Chacraraju and at 4,600 meters above sea level. Its bright sky-blue color, combined with the majestic snow-capped mountains surrounding it, make this landscape a true natural spectacle and one of the most beloved.
We’ll depart by tour bus toward the northern part of the city of Huaraz. We’ll pass through the beautiful villages of the Callejón de Huaylas to reach the town of Yungay, from where we’ll ascend toward the eastern side of the town. We’ll begin our ascent toward the Llanganuco ravine, where we’ll see the famous Llanganuco lakes, before finally arriving at Cebollapampa (3,850 meters above sea level). From here, we’ll begin our approximately 3-hour hike to Laguna 69. We’ll spend about 1 hour at the lagoon before returning to Cebollapampa. Then we’ll take the bus back to the city of Huaraz.

DAY 19
HUARAZ – LIMA
After breakfast, we'll take you to the bus station to catch the bus back to Lima.
Meet and greet upon arrival and transfer to your accommodations.
DAY 20
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT
After breakfast, we will take you to the airport to board your international flight.
