Day-by-Day Itinerary

An unforgettable journey through three iconic destinations in Peru. Discover Lima, marvel at Machu Picchu and the Mountain of Colors in Cusco, and experience the magic of Lake Titicaca and the Uros and Taquile Islands in Puno.

Day 1

Arrival in Lima

You will be met and assisted upon arrival at the airport, and then transferred to your selected hotel.
Arrival at your hotel in Lima and a free day to explore the surrounding area on your own.

Day 2

City Tour in Lima

After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll begin a guided tour of the most attractive and important sites in Lima, “The City of Kings.”
We’ll pick you up at your hotel at 9:00 a.m. Our tour will take you to Lima’s impressive historic center, where you’ll see Plaza Grau, the Palace of Justice, Plaza San Martín, the Larco Museum, and the Baroque-style Church of San Francisco de Asís, where you’ll also see the catacombs that were once used as an ancient cemetery.

Day 3

Flight from Lima to Cusco

Pickup at the hotel and transfer to the airport for the flight to Cusco.
Meet and greet in Cusco and transfer to your selected hotel. Free day to acclimate.

Day 4

Visit to the Citadel of Machu Picchu

2:45 a.m. I’ll pick you up at your lodging in Cusco and we’ll head to Ollantaytambo to take the train to Aguas Calientes, enjoying the view of one of the most beautiful landscapes along the way.
Arrival at Machu Picchu, where we’ll take a tour of the citadel while our guide explains the history of this enigmatic place. We’ll have time to take photos.
On the way back, we’ll stop in Aguas Calientes for lunch before heading to Cusco.

Day 5

Visit to Rainbow Mountain

We’ll start by picking you up at your hotel between 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m., then continue on a 2-hour drive to Cusipata for breakfast.
We’ll continue for an hour and a half to Fulawasipata to begin a 2-hour hike.
Upon arrival at the viewpoint, we’ll have about 40 minutes to enjoy the majestic view of this colorful mountain.

• OPTIONAL: Horse rental; the horses will be dropped off 20 minutes’ walk from the lookout point.
• OPTIONAL: Admission to Valle Rojo (15–20-minute walk).

We return from the tour and stop again in Cusipata, this time for lunch, and then head back to the city of Cusco at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Day 6

Transfer from Cusco to Puno

After breakfast, we'll head to the city of Puno, where we'll have the day off to rest or explore the city.

Day 7

Visit to the Uros and Taquile Islands

In the morning at 7:15 a.m., we’ll take a boat tour on Lake Titicaca to the “Floating Islands” of the Uros.
We’ll continue our boat trip to Taquile Island, whose textiles are considered among the finest in Peru. We’ll arrive at an inn on Taquile for lunch, where we’ll enjoy traditional local dishes and a presentation of dances, crafts, and customs by the islanders.
In the afternoon, at approximately 3:00 p.m., we’ll return to Puno.
Transfer to the airport for our return flight.
