Summary

Why Choose This Experience

DAY 1 – LIMA / PARACAS 4:00 a.m. Cruz del Sur or another bus company bound for Paracas. (The ticket is at the passenger’s expense.)

Upon your arrival in Paracas, we will be waiting for you at the bus station and will then take you to our offices, where you will be warmly welcomed by our team, who will assist you in booking your tour of the Ballestas Islands. We’ll walk to the pier, where we’ll board our speedboat equipped with two outboard motors, which will take us to the marvelous Ballestas Islands—the most important wildlife sanctuary on the Peruvian coast. Fifteen minutes into the trip, we’ll make our first stop at El Candelabro, a significant geoglyph representative of the Paracas culture. We’ll continue our journey for about 20 more minutes until we reach the various rock formations that make up the islands. Here, we’ll observe sea lions, boobies, pelicans, Humboldt penguins, and other seabirds that inhabit the islands, while our bilingual guide explains everything there is to know about the islands throughout the tour. Upon returning from the islands, at approximately 10:00 a.m., you’ll have a short period of free time; however, you must return to our offices by 11:00 a.m. to board your transportation back to the city of Ica.

Once we arrive in the city of Ica, we’ll begin the city tour. We’ll start this tour with a visit to an artisanal winery where you’ll learn a bit about the production of wines and pisco, as well as enjoy a small tasting accompanied by fun sayings you won’t forget. We’ll have time for lunch, followed by a panoramic tour of the Plaza de Armas in Ica, where we’ll see two beautiful obelisks representing the two great cultures—Paracas and Nazca—that flourished in the department of Ica.

Our tour will continue with a visit to the Luren Shrine, where we’ll be able to see the current condition of the church following the August 2007 earthquake. Afterward, we’ll head to the Witches of Cachiche theme park, where we’ll get off the bus to hear a fascinating account of the witches’ history.  We’ll end our tour at one of the most beautiful places in the Peruvian desert: Huacachina Lagoon, known as the “Oasis of the Americas.” This stunning spot is surrounded by palm trees, huarango trees, and immense sand dunes, where you can experience the thrill of riding in buggies and trying sandboarding, a very fun adventure sport. Upon returning from the tour, we’ll be taken to the bus station to continue our journey to Nazca.

They will be met at the bus station and taken to their accommodations so they can rest up for the next day's tour.

DAY 2 - NAZCA

On the second day of our adventure, after breakfast, we’ll head to the Maria Reiche Aerodrome to take a flight over the Nazca Lines. The flight will last approximately 35 minutes, during which we’ll observe the enormous geoglyphs in the Nazca Pampas—linear drawings of animals, birds, and geometric figures etched into the desert, which can only be seen from the air and are considered a World Heritage Site. At the end of the flight, you will be transferred to the bus station at the appropriate time.
