Why Choose This Experience
DAY 1: PARACAS
The tour begins with a visit to the Ballestas Islands. Our first stop will be the Candelabro, located on the Paracas Peninsula, then we’ll continue to the islands, where we’ll admire the rock formations while the guide explains the local flora and fauna. You’ll be able to spot animals such as sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and various bird species, including boobies, guanay, cormorants, and zarcillos, among others. At the end of the tour, we’ll return to the starting point in the Chaco.
We’ll meet again at the Paracas Explorer office so you can be taken to the Paracas bus station and pick up your bus ticket to Nasca (Paracas–Nasca, 11:30 a.m.). The trip takes approximately 4 hours. Once in Nasca, you’ll be met by one of our representatives at the bus station, who will then take you to your lodging. You’ll have the afternoon free to rest and recharge for the next day.
DAY 2: NAZCA
The second day starts early with breakfast (we recommend eating something light; if you’re very sensitive to altitude and air travel, we recommend not eating anything) One of our representatives will pick you up at your lodging to proceed with the transfer to the María Reiche Aerodrome for a flight over the Nazca Lines. The flight will last approximately 35 minutes, during which you’ll observe the enormous geoglyphs in the Nazca Pampas—linear drawings of animals, birds, and geometric figures etched into the desert, which can only be seen from the air and are considered a World Heritage Site. After the flight, we will promptly transfer you back to the bus station.
