We’ll tour the island of Amantani and visit the homes of the locals, where we’ll be assigned a family with whom we’ll share customs and meals. The people of Amantani are of Quechua descent and are primarily small-scale farmers. The houses are very simple, and amenities are basic. There is no drinking water or electricity, and of course, there are no comfortable bathrooms or showers.
